The Gies College of Business at Illinois is a world leader in research, teaching, and public engagement. Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a 100% full-time assistant, associate, or full professor position in Marketing within the Department of Business Administration. In particular, we seek candidates with a focus on research in quantitative marketing and/or strategy.

The successful candidate will support the academic excellence of this well-respected department. The Department of Business Administration is a large and diverse unit, which includes graduate and undergraduate programs across eight academic areas (i.e., Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, International Business, Marketing, Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain). SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an active and productive program of research in marketing.
  • Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Perform service for the department.
  • Provide leadership in the department and the university.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates for assistant professor should expect to have completed their doctoral degree by June 1, 2026.
  • Strong research portfolio.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  • Leadership potential commensurate with position sought.

SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a 9-month, 100%-time academic tenure-track position with the opportunity for summer appointment. The expected start date is August 16, 2026.

The budgeted salary range for these positions is $150,000-$200,000 at the Assistant Professor level, $200,000-$215,000 at the Associate Professor level, and $215,000-$255,000 at the Professor level.
