Remuneration: $158,080 to $165,606 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $133,579 to $139,939 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Operations Manager, Security and Emergency Management to join Campus Services, Administrative Division.

The Operations Manager, Security and Emergency Management is responsible for ensuring the protection of people and property across the University through best practice security services, incident response and crisis management. The position is responsible for managing a fully functional 24/7 Central Monitoring Station (CMS), with highly trained staff delivering monitoring, emergency response, and customer service.

What you need to succeed

Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in security operations, risk management, and/or emergency management with proven extensive experience in managing day-to-day security operations and service providers for a large organisation.
Evidence of a current Fire Safety Advisor Qualification.
Extensive knowledge of contemporary security and emergency management strategies and technologies, with the ability to develop and implement strategies to mitigate security and public safety risks through physical, technological, and security services solutions.
Proven effective leadership and management skills that drive teamwork, high performance and excellence in service provision across large teams.
Demonstrated planning, analytical and problem solving skills to effectively deliver day-to-day security operations for a large, multi-campus organisation.
Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to respond rapidly and effectively to emergency situations.
Proven ability to foster and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including the effective management of contracted services.
