Position Summary
The Orientation Assistant Supervisor plays an integral role in the functioning of the summer orientation program facilitated by Advisement and Transition. The person in this position serves as the direct supervisor for our Orientation Assistants, as well as a resource for our new students and families throughout the Orientation program.

Major Responsibilities
- Facilitate Orientation Assistant training, including a 3-day retreat to our facilities at Raquette Lake
- Create a training manual in collaboration with the Coordinator for Transition Programs
- Supervise approximately 18 student Orientation Assistants
- Aid in the final preparations for the summer orientation program
- Participate in many different aspects of the Orientation program, including check-in procedures, session coordination and presentation, and development of the Orientation Assistant small group facilitation guide
- Serve as a resource for students, families, faculty and staff during the Orientation program
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
- Supervises 18 student Orientation Assistants
- Reports to Coordinator of Transition Programs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Orientation and transition programs
- Supervisory experience
- Enrolled in Master’s program with a focus on student affairs, college student personnel or related field
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Customer service skills
- Organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
