Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Construction Management for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Construction Management, delivering high quality instruction (in-person and online) in at least one of the following areas of specialization:
- Heavy/Civil (including DOT construction)
- Construction Survey/Layout
- Construction Finance
- Construction Estimating
- Construction Safety
- MEP Systems
- Construction Law
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues in the College and contribute to a positive and productive academic environment.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
To teach undergraduate courses:
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To teach graduate courses:
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Record of engaging undergraduate and graduate students in research
- Related commercialization success
- Applied industry-focused research
- National and/or international student competition coaching experience
- Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
- Current or previously licensed professional surveyor conversant with construction layout
