Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Construction Management for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Construction Management, delivering high quality instruction (in-person and online) in at least one of the following areas of specialization:
    • Heavy/Civil (including DOT construction)
    • Construction Survey/Layout
    • Construction Finance
    • Construction Estimating
    • Construction Safety
    • MEP Systems
    • Construction Law
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues in the College and contribute to a positive and productive academic environment.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses:

  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Construction Management or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Record of engaging undergraduate and graduate students in research
  • Related commercialization success
  • Applied industry-focused research
  • National and/or international student competition coaching experience
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Current or previously licensed professional surveyor conversant with construction layout
