Part Time Faculty, Criminology Program
The Criminology program within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at DePaul University invites expressions of interest in part-time faculty teaching opportunities. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year. This position is ideal for practitioners, researchers, and experienced educators seeking to contribute to the academic development of undergraduate students in criminology and criminal justice.
Courses are not guaranteed as academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter; however, the program does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Part-time faculty typically teach one to two classes an academic year.
Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview.
Qualifications: MA/MS in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related fields and/or JD for specific courses. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or closely related field. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working or teaching in a diverse learning environment.
Application Instructions: This posting applies to all courses in Criminology, but particularly elective courses offered by the Department. Please visit the following URL for information about the program and course offerings: https://las.depaul.edu/academics/criminology/Pages/default.aspx
Required Applicant Documents: C.V., Cover Letter, Teaching Statement.
