"Part-Time Faculty: EDI 351.1 Environmental Design III (Fall 2025)"

The School of Design within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach EDI 351 Environmental Design III, a three credit hour course, during the Fall semester, 2025. Teach: Design of large public use environments. Application of codes, material specifications, space planning, construction methods, lighting design and sustainable design practices for use in interior and exterior situations.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in interior design or architecture. Professional experience in the field and NCIdQ preferred (not required). Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Job Specific Qualifications: Experience at highest professional level in commercial interiors. Enthusiastic personality and collaborative spirit a must. Experience teaching on the collegiate level preferred. Must have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit software programs.

Responsibilities: Teach one section of EDI351, which meets twice a week for a total of 5 hours (9:30am - 12:00pm Mon/Wed). Attend and participate in critique and grading; keep office hours. Coordinate with other section of same course. Deliver course meeting program requirements, intended learning outcomes and CIDA criteria.
