"Part-Time Faculty"

Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School is accepting applications for possible Part-Time Faculty positions. Class times may be evenings and/or weekends. Duties may include the following:

• Teaching undergraduate students within a defined field of expertise;
• Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi meet Program and School standards;
• Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments;
• Assessing student learning outcomes and aiding student success;
• Submitting grades in a timely manner.

Part-time faculty at The New School bargain collectively through Academics Come Together, ACT-UAW, Local 7902.

QUALIFICATIONS VARY BY DEPARTMENT

• A terminal degree or equivalent experience in the field of specialty is preferred.
• 2-3 years of teaching experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives, preferably in a College, University, or school setting.
• Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues;
• Proven success creating inclusive classrooms;

$127.50/contact hr

SEMINAR HOURLY RATE
$151/contact hr
