Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Teaching Professor position in the Marketing Department beginning Fall 2026. This is a non-tenure-track teaching position with potential for future semester courses.
The position's primary responsibility is teaching in the undergraduate programs. The number of courses offered depends on departmental needs. This is a part-time teaching position on-campus in Syracuse and with the expectation to teach courses in person, provide weekly office hours to support and mentor students and their learning, and contribute to Whitman's emphasis on experiential, career-ready education. A passion for teaching and student success is essential.
The successful candidate will contribute to Whitman's goals for introducing students to the foundations of Supply Chain Management through teaching excellence. Guidance for course development and teaching materials will be available.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Excellent knowledge of operations and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with simple data analytics tools (e.g., Excel) and data-driven decision making.
Job Specific Qualifications:
- Industry experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related fields.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness or potential for teaching excellence at the university level.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage student populations from many different walks of life.
- Commitment to excellent pedagogy and student success.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of lectures, projects, and other student assignments, in collaboration with the marketing department and others involved in teaching other sections of the course (guidance available)
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance level of the course
- Meeting all designated class periods in person
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations and school/college-level policies
- Providing departmentally sanctioned form for completing student evaluations
- Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner
- Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty members
- Other responsibilities as indicated.
