Part Time Instructor - Cinematography and Photography
Job Description
Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person courses in cinematography and photography.
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses are typically 3 credits.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in film production, cinematography, photography, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Previous production experience.
- Familiarity with Canon T-series and R-series cameras, and/or Blackmagic cameras.
