"Part-Time Instructor (Pool)- Art & Design"

Job Description

Applications are being accepted for the position of Part-Time Instructor in the Department of Art + Design. The primary needs are for Introduction to Art and Foundations.

Introduction to Art is a lecture class in the general education core.

The Foundations sequence includes drawing, two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and time-based design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach Intro to Art and Foundations courses on-the-ground;
• Teach online or other areas of Art + Design as needed;
• We seek candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence.

Physical Requirements

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• MFA in Studio Art or Graphic Design or MA in Art History or Art Education for Introduction to Art;
• MFA in Studio Art or Graphic Design for Foundations.
• A background search will be required of the successful applicant.

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department.
