Part Time Instructor - Teacher Education - Elementary Education

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in Elementary Education.

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.

Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1000 per credit hour. Courses range from 1-3 credits.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Elementary Education or Education.
• Minimum of three years (3) full-time experience teaching children in K-12.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and technology skills.
• Commitment to active learning and teaching strategies.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Elementary Education or Education.
• Previous teaching experience with undergraduate students.
• Relevant experience in K-12 settings.
• Experience in web-based coursework.
• Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
