COMPENSATION:

PAY RATE: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

This represents the good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position upon hire, based on the selected candidate's experience, education, skills, internal alignment, and overall business needs.

In select cases, and depending on market conditions or exceptional candidate qualifications, compensation may exceed this range, provided it aligns with applicable law and our compensation policies.

SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Information Technology (IT) Director, develops programs to extract data, and assist with migration to the new ERP system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

  • Develops Universe (U2) applications.
  • Develops reports to be extracted from the current system to the new system.
  • Writes description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to modify computer programs using internal incident tracking system (IssueTrak).
  • Reviews application capabilities, to determine if requested program change is possible within the existing structure.
  • Reviews system needs and makes recommendations.
  • Provide documentation on program change requests and produce detail changes made to any application in source control system (including in-line comments and cross-reference to IssueTrak #)Provide support and documentation as needed.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and university personnel.
  • Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The minimum requirement for applicants is an Associates degree or two years college education or technical school/university; plus at least 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess advanced knowledge of LINUX and U2 systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives.

Requires the ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret general business information, and governmental regulations. Requires the ability to write reports and communicate effectively using telephonic, written, and electronic means. Requires the ability to effectively and respectfully present information one-on-one, small, and large group situations to customers, management and employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop solutions/strategies. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information or instructions with several undefined and some concrete variables. Requires good analytical, quantitative skills, organizational and management skills.

MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment.

PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION:

Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; handle objects; key pad , papers, books and reach. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk/move; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS

There may be exposure to dust or other airborne particles.
