"Part-time Student Worker - Allied Health Department"

Position Summary

The Allied Health Department is recruiting for two (2) part-time student workers. This position works to logistically support the Administrative Assistant III of the Allied Health Division in the delivery of student-centered support services. This position assists in responding to student inquiries while assisting in fostering an environment of exceptional customer service. This position assists in the support with office duties and department activities. Note: Students enrolled in an Allied Health program are not eligible for student employment in the Allied Health Division.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assist with performing office duties such as answering phones, processing of mail, data entry, filing, and organizing.
2. Assist with restocking classrooms with required supplies
3. Triage student traffic and assist students with general questions related to the enrollment and application process.
4. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semester and 3 credit hours in the summer
• English proficiency
• Demonstrate proficient written and oral communication skills
• Friendly and professional attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to establish and meet timelines
• Team player who is dependable, punctual, organized, and detail oriented

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
