About the role
The Project Advisor is responsible for oversight of day-to-day operations of the PASS@UNE program. Reporting to the Project Specialist, the role includes advising on strategic development and contributing to the management, training and support of the large casual student team. The Project Advisor will liaise with academic staff, students and university stakeholders working to continuously improve program effectiveness while aligning with UNE's goals for student success.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven team management and leadership skills, with a focus on creating a culture of quality teamwork, high performance, and positive outcomes within changing work environments.
- Experience in student support and engagement or similar, with demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including students, professional and academic staff to advance peer learning and retention initiatives.
- Strong administrative and project organisation experience, including the ability to manage systems, balance competing priorities, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, using qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, anticipate emerging needs, and make evidence-based recommendations for continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple processes, implement monitoring mechanisms, and exercise sound decision-making in fast-paced environments.
About PASS@UNE
PASS@UNE operates two student Peer Assistance services, PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) and PAM (Peer Academic Mentoring). These services provide study guidance and a vital connection to the UNE community for students. PASS@UNE has a core admin team that oversees the coordination of up 80 PASS sessions per week as well as operating the PAM service 7-days per week. The team works in a dynamic online environment monitoring the remote work of 80-90 casual student staff.
