PhD Candidate / Medical Researcher "Improving surveillance imaging in paediatric lymphoma"
Job Summary
This KiKa-funded project aims to investigate the value of regular radiological follow-ups alongside routine medical check-ups for the first five years after treatment for children with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL). It involves evaluating databases from large European multicenter trials and developing less intensive, cost-effective follow-up programs based on the results.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data from trial databases.
- Conduct literature research and economic evaluations.
- Prepare new international guidelines for follow-up programs.
- Collaborate with researchers in radiology, clinical research, epidemiologists, and HTA specialists.
- Complete the project with a dissertation, including peer-reviewed articles.
- Contribute to developing new national and international guidelines in collaboration with European research groups, radiological working groups, and patient organizations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in Medicine and BIG-registered.
- Clear interest in radiology and/or paediatrics.
- Good communication skills and strong affinity for working in multidisciplinary, multi-institutional, and international environments.
- Interest or experience in managing, collecting, and analyzing large datasets.
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English.
What the Employer Offers
A salary of up to €5,669 gross per month based on full-time employment (36 hours per week). Benefits include an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%, holiday allowance, travel expense reimbursement, and various training opportunities, in accordance with the Cao Universitair Medische Centra (UMC).
