This involves emulating human-like self-awareness in electronic systems for applications like autonomous vehicles, through interdisciplinary training in material science, device physics, computer architecture, hardware prototyping, compiler design, simulation tools, cybersecurity, and reliability.

Responsibilities: As a PhD candidate, conduct research on secure neuromorphic architectures, participate in a comprehensive training program, engage in secondments, and contribute to the project's goals under supervision.

  • Qualifications and Requirements: Candidates must comply with the Mobility Rule (not resided in the host country for more than 12 months in the 3 years before recruitment), not already hold a doctoral degree, possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, have knowledge of computer hardware design and synthesis tools (ASIC, FPGA), good programming and scripting skills, excellent English communication skills, and be a team player. Additional advantages include knowledge of hardware security, computing-in-memory, and emerging non-volatile memory technologies.

What the Employer Offers: A 48-month fixed-term contract with a salary starting at €2,770 gross per month in the first year, up to €3,539 gross per month in the fourth year, based on a full-time position (38 hours per week).
