PMO Coordinator

About the position
Reporting to the PMO, the incumbent will assist in the development and implementation of portfolio management processes and tracking of project progress. This includes generating reports and analysing data on portfolio financials, performance, risks, and issues for senior management and stakeholders.
This role requires providing administrative support to the PMO, including scheduling meetings, maintaining accurate records and managing staff performance. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improving portfolio management processes and support the implementation of process improvements.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
- Experience in portfolio and project management support within a complex organisational environment.
- Proficiency in using portfolio and project management tools and software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to form a detailed knowledge of academic and administrative policies and the interrelationships between a range of policies and activities.
- Ability to apply theoretical knowledge or management or policy expertise to bring together diverse and sometimes conflicting information to solve problems.
- Ability to develop innovative methodologies or take a leading role in the application of proven techniques involving considerable theoretical and technical sophistication.
- Demonstrated experience in project management in the tertiary sector or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
