This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months in the first instance
The Grantham Research Institute is a world-leading centre for the study of the economics and social sciences of climate change and other global environmental problems, based at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The Instituteās work has been recognised through the award of the Queenās Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education 2020-22.
This post is based within the Stern team on international climate action of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Global School of Sustainability. The post-holder will be working on different aspects of gender, inclusivity and climate policy and will be responsible for establishing a new work programme on inclusivity within the Institute and Global School. This will involve working within a team, leading policy engagement activities, producing policy outputs and building networks.
Candidates should have:
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant subject, such as climate or environmental economics/policy economics, finance, international development or a closely related field;
- Strong knowledge of issues related to gender equality and inclusion, particularly as they relate to climate change
- Proven track record of authoring and leading high-quality research and policy activities (e.g. reports, briefings, events) that achieve impact and influence.
- Experience of working with policymakers or institutions on economic, fiscal, or climate finance issues, particularly in emerging markets and developing economies.
