Post-Doctoral Associate

University of Georgia College of Pharmacy

The Postdoctoral Associate will spearhead a high-impact, multi-pronged research program that leverages big data to design and evaluate real-world studies within the Thomas lab. This individual will be instrumental in launching a flagship, pragmatic clinical trial integrating a pharmacogenomics component to personalize therapeutic outcomes. A core responsibility involves utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to develop and validate sophisticated risk prediction and stratification models for drug-related adverse events. By bridging the gap between computational data science and clinical application, the Associate will generate the preliminary evidence required to secure major NIH and external funding. Their work will directly elevate the College of Pharmacy’s profile as a leader in precision medicine and digital health. Furthermore, the Associate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate these AI-driven insights into actionable clinical protocols.
