About the Job
Design scientific protocols, carry out experiments, and interpret results (80%)
Disseminate findings by writing abstracts and manuscripts (10%)
Participate in writing applications for research grants (10%)
Qualifications
Required:
- Applicants must hold a PhD degree in a biological science and have a recent track record of publication of first author peer-reviewed manuscripts.
Preferred:
- Preference will be given to applicants with PhD degrees in Immunology (particularly Autoimmunity) and/or expertise in Vascular Biology, particularly the role of inflammation in the cardiovascular system.
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in developing scientific protocols, scientific writing, and outstanding letters of reference.
- Experience working with small animal models, flow cytometry, immunofluorescent microscopy, and analysis of transcriptomic data (e.g. scRNASeq) or similar large datasets is preferred.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $61,008- $68,964 depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
