The Software and Societal Systems Department(S3D), in the School of Computer Science, Semantic Signals Lab is looking for a Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team. Our lab builds mobile and wireless sensing systems that monitor physiological signals for health applications, with a focus on aging populations. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will take a lead role in driving research projects from early prototype to publication. This means designing and running user studies, building and iterating on hardware and software systems, analyzing data, and writing up results for top-tier venues in mobile computing and human-computer interaction.
CMU is located in Pittsburgh, PA, a city with a vibrant research and tech community.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong publication record in sensing systems, mobile health, or HCI. Experience with signal processing, machine learning, or embedded systems is a plus.
