Position Summary

The Shi group is seeking motivated Postdoctoral Associates with an excellent work ethic and background in molecular simulation and machine learning.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Develop simulation algorithms and software to model challenging gas adsorption behavior in porous materials
• Develop novel machine learning model for predicting gas adsorption behavior
• Investigate molecular transport and separation mechanisms for membrane process
• Publish journal articles and present research in professional conferences

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• The candidate should have a background in at least one of the following areas: quantum mechanics, molecular simulation, and machine learning (preferably generative AI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong publication record
• Ability to work independently
• Previous experience in similar research topics listed in position summary

Salary Range

$52,000
