The de Lázaro Lab (NanoBioEngineering for Tissue Reprogramming and Regeneration, https://www.delazarolab.com) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to work in with Dr. Lazaro.

Expectations
Candidates will be responsible for working with a unique transgenic mouse model that enables specific cardiomyocyte reprogramming (details here) and will utilize molecular biology (including multi-omics), histological and functional (including echocardiography) techniques to investigate cell reprogramming and its effects on regeneration. Candidates will also work closely with rodent surgeons at the CVRC to establish different cardiac injury models and will be expected to contribute to other cell reprogramming projects in the laboratory. Previous experience in a wide variety of molecular biology and histological techniques is a must, prior experience working with mice is advantageous but not strictly required.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is between $62,500.00 and $70,000.00 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.
Candidates should have a PhD in Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Regenerative Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. We welcome applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
