"Postdoctoral or Research Scientist positions for a Chemist or Biochemist"

The laboratory of Drs. Ted and Valina Dawson seek applications for a Chemist or Biochemist to study innovative interventions in Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and stroke using novel technologies.

We are a dynamic and innovative research team dedicated to exploring cutting-edge scientific questions to provide new therapies to the field of neurodegenerative disease. We are seeking candidates with a PhD or MD/PhD degree. The successful candidate should have a strong background in enzyme assays, inhibitor screening, design and application of molecular glues or PROTACs (proteolysis-targeting chimeras) to develop novel therapeutic agents. Candidates are expected to have excellent organizational and communication skills and critical thinking abilities to engage in interactive and discovery driven research. Required is a demonstrated record of achievements and publications. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
