Postdoctoral Research Associate - Oshri
Position Summary:
GCDS seeks a highly motivated and innovative postdoctoral fellow to become an integral part of their multidisciplinary team. This unique opportunity will allow the postdoc to work at the intersection of adolescent resilience, data science, and developmental cognitive neuroscience. As a team member, the postdoc will collaborate with principal investigators from various fields including: developmental psychology, human development, family science, cognitive neuroscience, and developmental psychology.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and lead research programs that aligns with our lab’s mission and ongoing projects; prepare and publish research manuscripts.
Percentage of time: 50
Contribute to the data collection of NIH-funded project.
Percentage of time: 25
Mentor URA and GRA students in their activities.
Percentage of time: 15
Assist in grant proposal development.
Percentage of time: 10
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :
- Experience working with young children (8-12 yo) in a medical or research setting
- Strong quantitative skills and experience working with large datasets
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional organization skills
- Demonstrate professional behavior
- Exhibit a high level of initiative
- Experience working independently and with multiple partners and stakeholders
Physical Demands:
Sitting or standing for long periods of time and driving as needed for job duties.
