Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description
Dr. Brett Jakubiak’s Close Relationships and Healthy Living Lab in the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University seeks an experienced researcher to join their team. The Postdoctoral Researcher will engage in data analysis, oversee observational coding by leading a team of video coders, disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, and provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students.
Qualifications
- PhD in Social Psychology, or a related discipline, by the start date.
- Experience with dyadic data analysis using both multilevel modeling and structural equation modeling approaches and should be comfortable analyzing data in R and Mplus.
- Should have expertise related to close relationships and be prepared to apply relationship-focused theories (e.g., attachment theory, affection exchange theory) to interpret findings.
- Should have experience with observational video coding, including supervising coding teams and developing their own coding manuals.
- In addition, it would be desirable if the applicant had experience with implicit measures and/or longitudinal dyadic data analysis (ecological momentary assessments).
