The Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences offers degrees from undergraduate to master's and doctoral, as well as licensure and endorsement programs.

Position Summary

The University of Oregon's Special Education and Clinical Sciences (SPECS) Department seeks qualified candidates for temporary teaching assignments in areas such as instruction and assessment, behavior management, special education law, school psychology, and more. Duties include course preparation, teaching, grading, supervision, and office hours. Positions are limited-duration, potentially renewable up to three years.

All faculty contribute to equity and inclusion goals.

Minimum Requirements

Instructor:

  • Master's degree in special education, school psychology, or related.
  • Relevant expertise and professional experience.

Lecturer:

  • Ph.D. or doctorate in relevant field.
  • Relevant expertise and experience.

Professional Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Potential to contribute to diverse community.
  • Quality teaching ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. for instructors.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • School psychologist license and experience for some courses.
