The Department of Mathematics at The University of Chicago invites applications for the position of Professor of Mathematics. The appointee will be expected to conduct research in algebraic geometry from a wide variety of techniques, including those motivated by ideas from Hodge theory. The appointee will be expected to submit findings for publication, attend and present at various national and international conferences and professional meetings. The appointee will also be responsible for conducting graduate and undergraduate courses in Mathematics. Specifically, duties will include course preparation, review and grading of assignments, and academic advising of individual students as requested. The appointee will also serve on departmental committees and contribute to departmental administrative affairs, as directed by the Chair. This position is benefits-eligible.
