"Program Coordinator I"

Position Summary

Rutgers University–Camden's Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) seeks a Program Coordinator to play an essential role in advancing student achievement and supporting the unit's student-centered mission. This position contributes to the effective daily operations of CLASS and ensures that students have access to high-quality academic resources and services.

The program coordinator leads the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of peer tutors; manages early alerts and faculty referrals; and coordinates targeted academic interventions that support student learning and retention. As a key resource for students seeking academic support, the program coordinator provides information on available services, oversees appointment management, and monitors the use of CLASS facilities.

This role is responsible for developing and organizing tutor training in alignment with College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) standards; maintaining certification and assessment documentation; and preparing statistical reports that inform program effectiveness and continuous improvement. The program coordinator also provides support to the Course Assistant/Supplemental Instruction Program and Emerging Scholars programs.

Additional responsibilities include organizing CLASS workshops and programming, collaborating with campus partners to enhance student support, and representing the Center at campus and community events.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of a student-focused center.
