"Program Manager, Center for Wave Phenomena (CWP)"

The Center for Wave Phenomena (CWP) in the Geophysics Department at Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the position of CWP Program Manager. This part-time role (20hrs/week) involves collaborating with CWP principal investigators, visiting scholars, students, alumni, industry sponsors, and funding agencies. Key responsibilities include budget management, business development, sponsor recruitment, resource management, and facilitating communications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Financial Management, Budgets and Contracts (45%): Manage research accounts, analyze budget histories, monitor expenditures, prepare employee contracts, and track salary and other expenditures.
• Project Management (25%): Prepare and distribute contracts, follow up on executions and payments, and review contracts for accuracy.
• Communication (15%): Maintain databases for sponsors and alumni, distribute reports, update the CWP webpage and social media, design marketing materials, assist with poster printing, and manage publications.
• Meetings (15%): Supervise logistics for annual meetings, negotiate venue contracts, manage registrations, and ensure timely preparation of materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or related field; at least two years of experience in business and research development; experience with technical documents, websites, and publications.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in document management, text editing, publishing software, website design, and maintenance.
