Position Summary
The University at Buffalo, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Behavioral Medicine is looking for a computer Programmer to provide IT programming support and tools for scientific research purposes. Ideal candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals, with a creative and analytical mindset, and are comfortable working in a Windows development environment. You will work with the IT Project Coordinator and external collaborators in the planning, design, development, and maintenance of various software products i.e., web, desktop, and utilities.
Essential responsibilities include working with:
- HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS / PHP / Java / Node.JS
- ASP.NET MVC5 and related .NET frameworks
- Windows Web Server Configuration
- MySQL Database Server Configuration
- Git management
- Knowledge of web analytics tools and related analyses
- Server management
Strong documentation skills, oral and written communication skills, good analytical ability, and an understanding of business operations and processes is required.

Minimum Qualifications
- BA or BS in related field.
- 1 year experience.
- Familiarity with computer programming languages necessary for the project.
- Excellent communication skills, organization and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:
- Atlassian products: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket
- Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal)
- C# / Python / React.JS
- Android development
- IIS Configuration
