Project Manager (Digital)

University of East Anglia - Strategic Programmes and Change Division

Starting salary from £38,784 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £46,049 per annum.

Are you ready to help shape the future of digital delivery at a world-class university? The University of East Anglia is seeking a talented Project Manager (Digital) to join our Strategic Programmes and Change division. Be part of a forward-thinking team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

As part of the Strategic Programmes Management Office, you’ll manage a portfolio of digital projects that support UEA’s strategic goals. From scoping and planning to implementation and evaluation, you’ll oversee the full project lifecycle - ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable benefits.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the University, including IT teams, academic departments, and senior sponsors, to ensure projects are aligned with user needs and strategic priorities. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.

You will have proven experience managing IT/digital projects and multiple initiatives simultaneously, strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, excellent organisational and analytical abilities, an agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration and a degree or equivalent qualification or experience, ideally with professional project management qualifications. Experience of project management in the higher education sector is desirable.

This full-time post is available from 3 November 2025 on a fixed-term basis for 2 years.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply, including those who are disabled and/or LGBTQ+. We welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 44 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

Closing date: 29 September 2025

The University holds an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality.
