The Department of Urology seeks to provide all patients with the best urological care. Our team strives to provide patients with comprehensive care and the latest discoveries in education and research, leading to innovative techniques and minimally invasive procedures.
Your Role on the Team
This role will provide project operations support for existing NIH and PCORI projects related to kidney stone disease. The projects involve working with investigators from within UCI and across the U.S. at other medical centers. Additionally, the role will provide grant writing and submission support to external sponsors for research, with a focus on NIH and PCORI funding. This role will also provide support to a team of interdisciplinary researchers, including facilitating team communication, organizing the submission process, and providing writing, editing, project planning, and budget development support for grant proposals.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required:
- Advanced knowledge of the grant submission process and key practices, regulations, and policies related to grants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Advanced degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Preferred:
- Doctorate in related area and/or equivalent experience training preferred
- At least three years of grant-related experience
- Experience working in an academic or research setting
