As a Project Officer for Interprofessional Student Placements at the University of Melbourne's Collaborative Practice Centre, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing and expanding student placements in mental health and AOD services. You'll work across multiple healthcare disciplines to increase placement opportunities, improve student experiences, and foster collaboration between education providers and healthcare services. You'll work across multiple healthcare disciplines to increase placement opportunities, improve student experiences, and foster collaboration between education providers and healthcare services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Coordinate activities to increase and enhance student placements in mental health and AOD settings.
- Engage Stakeholders: Foster collaboration between education providers and healthcare services to address workforce needs.
- Develop Support Systems: Create and implement new placement supports for students and clinical educators.
- Synthesize Feedback: Collect and analyse input from students, academics, and service providers to drive improvements.

You are a passionate healthcare professional or project manager with experience in student placements or mental health settings, demonstrating excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to improving clinical education.

You may also:
- Hold a relevant degree with at least three years of experience in student placement settings or equivalent project management experience.
- Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building productive relationships.
- Show experience in successfully engaging with external stakeholders.
- Have the ability to disseminate project findings through reports, workshops, and meetings.
- Exhibit a commitment to cultural diversity and equity in healthcare education.
- Ideally have experience and established relationships in mental health and AOD settings.
- Understand the public mental health landscape and Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Strategy.
