The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University seeks an outstanding researcher under the prestigious SUNY Empire Innovation Program (EIP). The SUNY EIP is a state-funded grant program designed to recruit world-class faculty researchers to SUNY.
For this tenure/tenure-track position, we seek a psychologist or psychiatrist studying prevention/intervention of mental health problems for diverse and underserved youth in the community. The candidate must be a leader in their field who has an established track record of scholarly and/or research achievements; collaboration with other researchers, ideally both nationally and internationally; and significant external funding support.
The candidate should have at least four years of independent research experience after completion of their doctorate/post-doctorate studies; however, early career scholars will be considered as well.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D, or M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent). Research focus on mental health disparities in underserved youth. An established track record of scholarly and/or research achievements including record of external funding support and peer-reviewed publications. Full time availability.
Preferred Qualifications: At least four years of independent research experience after completion of doctorate/post-doctorate studies.
