"Qualitative Research Assistant"

Job Responsibilities

The Qualitative Research Assistant will code qualitative data both thematically and using NVivo or ATLAS.ti software. Responsibilities include reviewing and coding interview data, organizing findings, and assisting with writing up results for manuscript submission. The position requires strong qualitative research experience, good writing skills, excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organization, and responsiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate level coursework or individual with advanced training in qualitative research methods.
• Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative data analysis using NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
• Prior field experience collecting or analyzing interview or focus group data.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong writing skills and ability to summarize qualitative findings clearly.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Responsiveness, attention to detail, and reliability in meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with community-engaged research or working with community-based projects.
• Previous experience contributing to academic publications or manuscripts.
• Familiarity with qualitative research dissemination and presentation of findings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary research teams.
