Recruitment Consultant

  • Full time, fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2026 for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to support the Casual and Labour Hire Recruitment Team
  • Manage best practice hiring for temporary casual and contingent positions across the University
  • Base Salary $112,628 plus 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the hire of professional casuals and contractor positions across the entire university - everything from finance, strategy, administration, projects, compliance, marketing, communications and beyond. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of professional and academic leaders, to deliver fit-for-purpose casual and labour-hire recruitment services supporting key initiatives within your client groups.

In this role, you will be required to utilise your market knowledge, and recruitment expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced and high-volume environment. As a result, we are looking for an exceptionally service-focused recruiter who will embrace and relish the challenges of working in a large and complex environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • drive the end-to-end recruitment process ensuring quality outcomes for candidates and hiring managers
  • manage all aspects of the recruitment process from application to hiring stage
  • provide elevated levels of communications and candidate care throughout the recruitment processes
  • deliver expert and timely advice relating to recruitment policies, legislative requirements, selection processes, labour market information and recruitment trends
  • manage a complex client base and partner with other HR teams and internal stakeholders as required
  • creatively attract top talent and building prequalified talent pools through innovative attraction strategies
  • identify and develop process improvement opportunities to better service your clients and candidates.

About you

  • substantial experience as an agency or in-house recruiter, managing end-to-end recruitment services within a complex environment
  • recruitment experience managing high-volume and fast moving casual or contingent workforce requirements is highly advantageous
  • change oriented behavior whilst ensuring compliance and data integrity is maintained
  • proven stakeholder management skills
  • able to balance competing prioritise in a fast paced, time pressured environment
  • outstanding presentation, communication and influencing skills
  • a desire to be a collaborator and a flexible approach to contribute to overall team success.

Work Rights

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
