Research Assistant AvatarZOO project using AI and XR
Job Summary: The AvatarZOO project investigates learning with emerging technologies involving extended reality. The goal is to develop evidence-based knowledge to enhance learning effectiveness using these technologies, guiding instructional designers, teachers, and defining targeted learning outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide anatomic and clinical procedures instructions to a colleague working as a model maker.
- Review annotation and anatomic details of the models.
- Serve as the interface between model construction and interaction with veterinary and medical clinicians.
- Connect with larger national projects, such as the Ombion Centre for animal-free biomedical translation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master's degree in (Veterinary) Medicine.
- Knowledge in anatomy and clinical procedures.
- Familiarity with computer programs for creating virtual reality models.
- Analytical and communicative skills, with flexibility, commitment, and resilience.
- Ability to translate anatomic and clinical content to computer science experts.
- Development-oriented, able to monitor project progress and identify bottlenecks.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
What the Employer Offers:
- An employment contract for 12 months with the prospect of permanent employment.
- A working week of 24-32 hours.
- Gross monthly salary between €3,708 and €5,057 (salary scale 9 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities).
- 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus.
