Job Description:

• Participate in the analysis of B-genome containing canola at cellular and molecular levels.
• Plant growth management and experimental setup.
• Part-time (0.6 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 3 years.
• Base salary range: $77,205 – $82,011 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity

• Manage plant growth experiments, including sowing, fertilising, monitoring, crossing, and harvesting.
• Conduct preliminary data analysis and assist with cellular and molecular investigations of B-genome plants.
• Maintain consumable supplies and provide regular progress updates to the Senior Research Fellow.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
• Experience in plant management in glasshouse or controlled environment.
• Knowledge in crop genetics and breeding is essential.
• Knowledge in plant cytology and molecular biology is ideal.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
