Research Assistant - Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine
Position Summary
The Lin Lab studies the molecular regulation of endothelial cells in pulmonary vasculopathies. Specifically, we examine how aberrant cellular crosstalk between mesenchymal and pulmonary vascular endothelial cells contributes to pulmonary vascular remodeling. Our current research program includes investigations into the role of hyperactive mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin) in pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Our research portfolio also includes investigations into the mechanisms of cell-cell communication in sarcoidosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive lung disease. The mission of our research is to uncover novel insights into the initiation and propagation of vascular diseases with the overarching goal of identifying new therapeutic targets for treatment of pulmonary vasculopathies.
