Department Information
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States.
Job Summary
Coordinate research related activities involving various testing and analysis procedures in support of assigned projects or programs.
Responsibilities
- Consult with research leadership to determine scope and extent of testing and analysis needs.
- Determine equipment and materials needed to support testing and analysis efforts; requisition materials as required.
- Set up and conduct testing processes following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Analyze and document results of testing processes.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment; maintain required inventories of materials and supplies needed in testing process.
- Review testing methods and procedures; recommend modification to existing methods as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience: Five years of job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Experience: 10 or more years in a related field including data acquisition.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires working knowledge and developed skills in the application of laboratory testing processes and procedures specific to assigned specialty; analysis and documentation techniques; report writing and communications skills. Use of specialized office automation computer applications also required (e.g. Microsoft Office).
Other Information
Salary range: $26.00 - $33.00/hourly
