Position Description

The Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health studies the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in humans, a fundamental science of public health. In addition to pursuing ground-breaking global research initiatives, we educate and prepare future medical leaders and practitioners as part of our mission to ignite positive changes in the quality of health across the world.

The Department of Epidemiology is seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics for a postdoctoral position. The position involves the development of methodology in the areas of clustered and survival data analyses. The application of these methods will be in epidemiological studies. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Molin Wang and her collaborators.

The postdoctoral research fellow will focus on:

• Developing biostatistical methods to deal with measurement errors in exposures or outcomes in cohort studies and electronic health record data settings
• Developing methods for the analysis of audiometric data (multi-level clustered data) aligning with the aims of NIH R01 grants

Basic Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Statistics or Biostatistics

Additional Qualifications

• Strong computing skills
• Expertise in clustered data, survival data, causal inference, or measurement error
• Strong written communication skills

Additional Information

• Postdoc appointments are on-campus, full-time positions
• Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to an acceptable payroll state: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, Maryland, Vermont, New York, California, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington, Georgia, or Illinois
