Research Project Coordinator (Research Administration)
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities of a research study to ensure validity of findings.
- Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.
- Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
- Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires, conduct background research, laboratory processing, etc.
- Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
- Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
- Oversee record management for research study.
- Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
- Assist in coordinating study meetings.
- Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.
- Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., public health, psychology, social work, or a related behavioral or social science discipline).
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field focused on violence prevention, behavioral health, or community-based interventions.
- Two or more years of experience conducting or coordinating research
- Demonstrated experience in community-based participatory research, trauma-informed interviewing, or working with vulnerable populations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse community partners, service providers, and research participants.
- Strong skills in qualitative and/or quantitative data collection, including conducting interviews, administering surveys, and ensuring data quality.
- Experience managing research operations such as IRB submissions, recruitment tracking, and data management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to issues of confidentiality, diversity, and participant safety.
- Familiarity with statistical or qualitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, or similar).

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($46,313 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
