Research Teaching Specialist III
Position Summary
Rutgers is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for the Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies, located in New Brunswick, NJ. The Research Teaching Specialist III conducts specialized research, using judgment to adapt methods and techniques. May be responsible for the management of a small-sized laboratory area. Assists the Principal Investigator with budgetary, training and administrative responsibilities.
Duties include:
- Assists in the establishment of performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation.
- As assigned, carries out various technical and research operations relating to investigatory activities of the laboratory.
- May assist in organizing and conducting specialized research activities for a particular research project.
- Assists with the instructing and training of students, fellows and technicians in various techniques and procedures to develop the skills necessary to carry out assignments in the laboratory assistant
