Job Summary: The Division of Biomedical Informatics, Department of Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking applicants for a tenure track, Assistant Professor rank Regular Title Series, full time (12 month) position. We seek individuals with a dynamic, productive research agenda that focuses on health and biomedical informatics and technologies. The Division of Biomedical Informatics is a highly productive, collegial, and collaborative research and training department in the College of Medicine. This is an instrumental position in building the division and growing our team and range of expertise. We welcome applications in one or more of the following areas:
- Bioinformatics, computational biology
- Precision medicine using integrated data resources such as electronic health records electronic pathology reports, clinical trials, and next generation sequencing
- Data science and augmented intelligence (AI) for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (clinical texts, web media, imaging, signal, and sensory data)
- Clinical informatics, information systems, clinical decision support
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Productivity in research, teaching and aptitude for mentoring
