Residential Therapist
Position Summary
UNC Horizons Program seeks Residential Therapist to work in residential treatment programs for women with substance abuse issues and their children in Chapel Hill. These programs operate 24/7, 365 days a year. This position involves both structured and informal direct client service and supervision; individual and group client services; working well in a treatment team environment; active participation in the residential on-call system.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board.
Management Preferences
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work well in a Treatment Team setting.
- Experience in a women’s residential substance abuse program and working in a trauma informed environment.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- LCSW, LCSW-A, LCAS, LCAS-A, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LPC-A, or LPA.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
