Salesforce & Marketing Cloud Administrator
The Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Administrator is the administrator for Salesforce and Marketing Cloud in University Advancement. With the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager, they are responsible for configuring and maintaining Salesforce and Marketing Cloud to ensure continued delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions to meet business needs for departments using the CRM (ascend), marketing communication tools or marketing data. This is a temporary assignment, expected to last nine (9) to twelve (12) months.
Duties include:
- Primary contact for Marketing Cloud, analyzing business needs and recommending modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, internal business processes, and reporting.
- Working with customers to define requirements and mapping features to new and current business processes; collaborating with IT and third-party service providers on implementing technical solutions.
- Designing and implementing automated marketing campaigns using tools like Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.
- Driving and increasing user adoption and ensuring user satisfaction by identifying training gaps and system problems; providing training and solutions.
- Collaborating with Advancement teams to execute marketing and advertising campaigns, including offices such as the Senior Vice President, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Planned Giving, Marketing and Communications, University Events, Parent Philanthropy Program, and the Women Who Empower program.
- Collaborating with cross-division teams to create target lists and advise on opportunities for marketing automation.
- Collaborating with teams across the University to achieve marketing and business objectives.
- Maintaining data integrity by performing data maintenance tasks such as de-duping, uploads, and other data quality assurance procedures in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
- Managing and overseeing system users including creating and maintaining profiles, roles, permissions, sharing rules, and queues.
- Researching and testing changes in upcoming Salesforce and Marketing Cloud releases, as well as other integrated applications; providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintaining ongoing documentation and training processes as business needs evolve or as features are added.
- Assisting with reporting tools to measure success of campaigns and digital presence.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required (Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred).
- 3-5 years of marketing and digital analytics experience (Higher Ed or Advancement background preferred).
- 3-5 years of Salesforce CRM and/or SF Marketing Cloud experience.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification.
- Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
Key Responsibilities include managing trainings in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for Advancement staff, preparing and maintaining training documentation, leading ongoing training sessions, meeting with customers to understand email marketing campaigns, assisting the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Manager in providing help desk support, maintaining quality assurance for data entered in Marketing Cloud, and assisting in testing new functionality and data cleanup.
Position Type: Temporary. Additional Information: Northeastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education, and skills when extending an offer. Pay Rate: $39.00 to $44.00/hour.
