School Executive Assistant

  • Reference number: 25675
  • Term: Fixed-term, full-time basis until 30 June 2026
  • Remuneration: $94,099 to $106,134 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $79,514 to $89,685 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Gardens Point

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a School Executive Assistant to join School of Computer Science, Faculty of Science.

The School Executive Assistant (SEA) provides executive support to the Head of School and administration support to the School in collaboration with the School Manager. The position requires outstanding organisation skills in supporting the Head of School with diary management and communications with staff - confidentiality and sound judgement are critical attributes. The SEA works collaboratively with the School Manager and academic leaders in undertaking administration processes to support the school's activities.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
  2. High level interpersonal skills with the ability to provide confidential executive support and to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment to support school activities.
  4. Demonstrated ability to use initiative to solve problems, manage priorities to meet deadlines and balance competing demands, as well as the ability to embrace change and respond to unexpected challenges at short notice.
  5. Demonstrated high level written communication skills including the ability to draft emails and other correspondence, meetings agendas and minutes, and submissions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Demonstrated digital literacy skills including ability to effectively work with Microsoft suite of products as well as corporate systems and other information sources to extract and interpret data.
