Job Description
- Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Futures (ARC-IFC)
- Full-Time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 years. A fractional appointment of 80% may be considered.
- Base salary will be in the range $95,361.62 - $102,302.92 + 17% super (HEW Level 6)
- This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only, as a genuine occupational requirement, recognising the importance of Indigenous knowledge, leadership and lived experience in supporting the Centre’s Indigenous-led research, engagement and governance activities.

The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Futures is a nationally significant, collaborative research centre advancing Indigenous-led futures through transformative research, partnerships and engagement. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to play a pivotal role in enabling the Centre’s Directorate and UQ Node to operate with excellence, integrity and purpose. Working in a collaborative, inclusive and values-driven environment, this role provides high-level administrative, coordination and operational support that underpins the Centre’s impact across research, engagement and governance activities.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Directorate, including diary management, correspondence coordination, scheduling meetings and supporting communications and engagements.
- Coordinating Directorate and Centre meetings, including stakeholder liaison, preparation of committee documentation and ensuring governance and protocol requirements are met.
- Leading and managing administrative processes for Centre and Node-specific activities, including KPI reporting, data management and liaison with Chief Investigators, Research Staff and other Node and Theme Administrators.
- Supporting the delivery of events and engagement activities such as conferences, summits and workshops, alongside travel coordination, expense reconciliation and continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.
