  • Remuneration: $109,157 to $118,193 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $92,239 to $99,875 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Card Program Officer to join Finance Business Solutions, Chancellery Division.

The Senior Card Program Officer works within the Accounts Payable team and is responsible for the processing of applications for the corporate card programs and ensures corporate and cardholder client portals and master data files are current and up to date. The Senior Card Program Officer is responsible for QUT’s corporate card program including important daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks to ensure the corporate card program is effective. Providing high quality client service to staff of the University on corporate card issues and assistance to the Accounts Payable team (and other teams within Finance Business Solutions) in regard to payables / cards functions as required. The position plays an important role within Finance Business Solutions and is responsible for liaising with a broad range of staff including academic, administrative and technical in varying divisions / portfolios and faculties. Liaising with financial management staff to ensure taxation, legislation, regulatory and audit requirements are being met. This position reports to the Team Lead, Accounts Payable for supervision, workload management and for Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

What you need to succeed

  1. Completion of a degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training.
  2. Demonstrated high level experience in payables and card programs, delivering proven results in a complex business financial environment while working under pressure.
  3. High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups.
  4. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to gather and integrate information from a number of sources to deliver accurate and effective solutions.
  5. Advanced digital literacy skills including demonstrated experience in the operation of large computerised accounting and card program systems.
  6. Demonstrated experience and capacity to conduct training/information sessions across a range financial systems and provide timely information in writing.
